Bromley Drug Dealer Busted Over County Line Crack and Heroin Text Scam
A Bromley-based drug dealer has been locked up for running a county line operation pushing crack cocaine and heroin via mass text messages. Dean Beason, 41, from Lincombe Road, was a key player in the notorious ‘Jeff Line’ targeting Gravesend.
Kent Police Crack Down After Mass Text Tip-Off
Kent Police launched an investigation after receiving tips about the text spam selling drugs. Officers swooped on Erith and tracked the offenders to Corinthian Road on October 11 last year.
They stopped a Peugeot 206 driven by Beason. Inside, they found the phone blasting out the illegal drug ads, plus two more mobiles and a packet of crack cocaine.
Big Drug Haul Found at Dealer’s Home
Beason was arrested on the spot. A search of his home uncovered 20 deals of crack, eight heroin packages, scales, £450 cash, and a booklet linked to drug deals.
Four Years Behind Bars for Crack Dealer
The court convicted Beason for crack and heroin distribution and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court sentenced him to four years in jail on January 18.
Detective Constable Michael Nolan said: “We’re determined to stop dealers flooding Kent with class A drugs. Careful planning led to Beason’s arrest. Anyone thinking of following in his footsteps should beware. Kent Police will show the same fierce commitment to catching offenders.”
