Dozy Burglar Bungs It Up After Door Handle Snaps
Muhedur Khan, 45, a homeless thief with the worst luck, has been locked up for 12 months. CCTV caught him in the act at 1:30am on December 4, trying and failing to break into a building on Martin Lane. When the door handle snapped off under his tugging, Khan stumbled backwards like a slapstick star – a proper comedy of errors.
Caught Red-Handed Wearing Socks on His Hands
Not done yet, Khan struck again the same night on Lovat Lane. CCTV footage shows him taking off one shoe and both socks – stacking one sock inside the other – before oddly slipping them onto his hands to dodge leaving fingerprints. Minutes later, he was caught lugging a hefty bag stuffed with loot. The daft disguise failed spectacularly, as the cameras caught every clumsy move.
£5,500 Worth of Gadgets Recovered After Swift Arrest
Police nabbed Khan the very next day after he made off with five laptops, seven iPhones, and five iPads, all adding up to around £5,500. Alongside a 12-month sentence for the latest raids, Khan was hit with another 12 months for an earlier attempted break-in on Martin Lane.
“His bungled break-in attempts and sock disguise didn’t fool anyone, and CCTV evidence was key to his arrest,” a police spokesperson said.
Looks like this clumsy crook won’t be out causing trouble anytime soon.
