Police were scrambled to Kingsmead Road, Canterbury at 6.30am on 17 December 2019 after a woman was punched and kicked in a terrifying assault.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
Thankfully, the victim escaped without serious injuries. Officers launched a swift investigation and arrested 23-year-old Jack Smith from St Stephen’s Road on 18 January 2020.
Man Charged, Remanded in Custody
Smith now faces charges of assault with intent to commit a sexual offence. He appeared at Margate Magistrates Court on 21 January and was remanded in custody ahead of his next court date on 17 February 2020.
