Maidstone Man Locked Up for Throwing Knife and Leaving Woman Severely Injured

Knife Attack Leaves Victim with Long-Term Injuries

Christopher Green, 33, from Fairmeadow, Maidstone, has been jailed after he threw a knife at a woman, injuring her foot and causing lasting damage. Green had threatened to kill the victim before launching the knife at her.

Agitated Rage Sparks Violent Assault

On 27 November 2018, Green was at the victim’s home when he grew angry after reading her text messages. He warned her she would “not get out of here alive” before throwing the knife, which struck her foot.

The woman received emergency treatment that night. But six days later, she was hospitalised after the wound refused to heal. Doctors warned she might never fully regain use of her foot.

Abuse Comes to Light Months Later

In April 2019, the victim came forward to police, revealing a history of abuse and manipulation by Green. Her bravery led to his arrest on 15 April. He was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Guilty Plea and Four-Year Sentence

Green admitted guilt after the victim provided texts and emails where he confessed to the assault. Maidstone Crown Court sentenced him to four years behind bars on 22 September 2020.

“I sincerely hope his victim can now take some comfort from this sentence and is able to move on with her life,” said investigating officer PC Annalisa Bevans.
