County Lines Dealer Slashes Cop Twice in Back – Gets 16 Years
A ruthless county lines drug dealer who stabbed a police officer twice in the back has been slammed with a 16-year jail sentence. Michael Enzanga, 20, with no fixed address, was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a Portsmouth Crown Court jury found him guilty.
Brutal Knife Attack in Portsmouth Park
The chilling attack happened on February 21 in Stamshaw Park, Portsmouth, where Enzanga plunged a knife into PC Russell Turner’s back. The officer suffered a collapsed lung in the savage assault. Today (19 October), Judge Roger Hetherington handed down a 16-year sentence, plus an extended four-year licence period for the vicious crime.
Experienced Knife Criminal Shows No Remorse
Prosecutors revealed Enzanga already had a string of convictions dating back to 2014 for knife possession and dealing Class A drugs. Turning to the defendant, Judge Hetherington said: “You were no innocent dupe. You were already an experienced criminal who knew exactly what you were doing.”
