Crockenhill Primary School was evacuated just after 1pm today after a suspected unexploded World War II bomb was found on site. Police acted fast, ensuring all the children were safely cleared from the premises.
Bomb Disposal Team Rushes In
The Ministry of Defence’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit confirmed they were alerted and headed straight to the school to deal with the deadly find. A controlled explosion was planned to safely neutralise the threat.
All Clear Given, Roads Reopen
Following the successful removal of the wartime bomb, authorities have confirmed the area is now safe. Roads around Crockenhill Primary School in Swanley have been reopened, bringing an end to the tense evacuation.
