Man Admits Murdering Woman in Her Sleep Before Grotesque Crime
A Dartford man has shockingly confessed to murdering a woman in her sleep and then committing a sexual offence on her body. The horrific case has sent shockwaves through the county, exposing one of the darkest crimes seen in recent years.
Victim Stabbed Multiple Times in Early Hours
Ernestas Juska, 21, of Henderson Drive, Dartford, admitted murder and sexual offences at Maidstone Crown Court today (18 July). He attacked the 39-year-old woman, a family friend, while she slept at his home in the early hours of 17 August 2024.
Juska told police he was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine when he chose a large kitchen knife, went upstairs, and brutally stabbed the victim multiple times. Officers described the injuries as catastrophic.
In a chilling confession, Juska said the murder gave him a rush of “excitement” before he committed further sexual offences on her lifeless body.
Confession Leads Police Straight to Crime Scene
Juska shocked the community by approaching a stranger on Wordsworth Way that same morning, admitting: “I killed someone.” He urged the witness to call the police. Officers found him waiting at a bus stop and he led them to the grim scene on Henderson Drive.
Inside the property, detectives found the woman’s body on her bed, surrounded by clear evidence of the brutal attack.
Chilling Police Response as Sentencing Looms
Juska remains in custody and is due to be sentenced on 28 November 2025.
Detective Sergeant Max Gregory, who led the investigation, said:
“The depravity of Juska’s actions is almost indescribable. He inflicted horrific injuries on his defenceless victim and admitted he had no real motive — other than wanting to harm someone who wasn’t close to him.
For him to then commit further heinous acts on the woman after her death speaks to a truly disturbing mindset. He showed no remorse and instead recounted his actions with chilling detachment.”
