Massive Fire Erupts at Lordswood Industrial Unit

Emergency services are battling a huge blaze at an industrial unit in Lordswood, Kent. Kent Police have shut down access to the Lordswood industrial estate, forcing evacuations of workers in nearby units as firefighters scramble to contain the fire.

Ten Fire Engines Battle the Inferno

About 10 fire engines are at the scene of the massive 400-metre unit fire on Revenge Road. A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson revealed that a worker was using cutting equipment when the fire broke out.

Firefighters are using main jets, hose reels, and a height vehicle to tackle the flames. Residents nearby have been urged to keep their windows and doors shut for safety.

Chemicals Removed to Avoid Catastrophe

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus managed to remove drums of chemicals from the site early on. They employed dry powder extinguishers to control the hazard and prevented the blaze turning into a major incident.
