Predatory Rapist Tom Rodwell Jailed After Victims’ Bravery Cracks Case
Tom Rodwell, 31, has pleaded guilty to 10 counts of rape, following a chilling spree of attacks stretching from 2017 to 2020. His victims showed incredible courage, helping police bring the dangerous offender to justice.
Ruthless Abuse Hidden Behind False Care
The court heard Rodwell used his fake healthcare aspirations to seem caring and trustworthy. But behind this facade, he was a manipulative predator who quickly turned violent, targeting women he’d begun relationships with. His sustained assaults left lasting damage on his victims.
Police Praise Victims’ Courage
Detective Constable Rick Sainsbury, who led the probe, said:
“Rodwell’s offending is despicable. He is a dangerous individual whose selfish and depraved actions have caused lasting harm to his victims and their families. We welcome today’s sentence and that he will remain on the sex offenders’ register for life.
“We want to pay tribute to the victims for their undeniable courage throughout this investigation. Without their bravery, this result would not have been possible. Thanks to them, Rodwell will be behind bars, unable to harm any more women. They should be proud and we hope this brings them some closure.”

The police also urged anyone affected by sexual offences to come forward, stressing that all reports will be taken seriously, whether the crimes are recent or historical.
