Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Crash in N17
Tragedy struck just after midnight on Sunday, 12 May, when a man in his 40s was fatally hit by a car on The Roundway near Risley Avenue, N17. Police were called at 1.02am, and emergency crews rushed to the scene.
Paramedics Battle to Save Victim
The London Ambulance Service and officers tried desperately to save the pedestrian, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Police Hunt for Crucial Uber Driver Witness
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are leading the investigation. They have been contacted by an Uber passenger who was travelling nearby during the crash. Authorities are urgently trying to reach the driver, who picked up a fare around 12.50am on Walpole Road, as dash cam footage from the vehicle could hold vital clues.
Four Arrested Over Fatal Collision
Four men, believed to have been in the same car, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They have since been bailed while inquiries continue.
