Two Arrested After Deadly NW10 Shooting
Detectives have arrested two men over a murder in the early hours of Thursday, 16 July. Police were called just after 3am to Windrush Road, NW10, following reports of gunshots.
Man, 27, Dies at Scene Despite Emergency Aid
Officers, including firearms units, found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound. They administered first aid until paramedics arrived, but sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support. A post-mortem will be carried out in due course.
Burnt-Out Land Rover Linked to Shooting
A 19-year-old and a 24-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody. Police also discovered a metallic grey Land Rover Discovery burnt out near the St Raphael’s Estate, Brent, believed to be connected to the attack.
Chief Inspector Urges Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe, leading the inquiry, said: “We know a number of shots were fired, and despite the early hour, several people were out and may have seen what happened.
“A man has died, and his loved ones face terrible grief. The person responsible does not deserve protection. Anyone with information should come forward.”
“If you have phone footage from the incident or surrounding moments, please send it to us. You could hold vital clues to help keep our communities safe.
“My team is combing through CCTV and will leave no stone unturned in tracking whoever took this young man’s life.”
Enquiries are ongoing as police hunt for more evidence.
