Woman Attacked Outside Fast Food Joint in Disturbing Incident
On the evening of Friday 27 January 2023, between 7.15pm and 7.30pm, a woman in her 30s was allegedly assaulted outside a fast food restaurant on Bridge Road.
Suspect’s Accomplice Encouraged Dog Attack
Witnesses report that a man accompanying the suspect acted aggressively before the assault and urged his dog to attack the victim. Both fled the scene in a black vehicle.
Victim Suffers Serious Facial Injury
The victim was taken to hospital with severe facial injuries, described by police as potentially life-changing.
Police Appeal for Help Identifying Suspects
“An investigation is underway to identify the suspects and we are now able to release images of two people who may be able to assist with our enquiries,” said PC Stuart Drakeley.
“The victim suffered potentially life-changing injuries and we are urging anyone who recognises the people pictured to contact our appeal line.”
Police also urge motorists with dashcam footage near Bridge Road at the time to come forward.
