A man was left battered and bloodied in a terrifying shooting and violent assault in Mansfield last December.

Man Shot and Viciously Attacked in Mansfield

The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his legs and arm. But the horror didn’t stop there. He also endured severe facial injuries after a brutal follow-up assault inside a house in Mansfield around 8pm on 9 December 2022.

Three Hidden Guns Found in Bulwell Raid

Police searching a separate property in Bulwell uncovered three concealed firearms. Two men, Vincent Brown and Brett Goodman, 38, have been charged with multiple firearms offences, including possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. Brown, who has no fixed address, also faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both men appeared at nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 19 December and were remanded in custody. They are set to face Nottingham Crown Court on 16 January 2023.

Additional Suspects Face Serious Charges

  • Zeke Dalziel, 26, also charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 17 December and remanded in custody.
  • Angela Dalziel, 48, released on conditional bail to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on 17 January.
  • Ti Carr, 35, due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 20 December.

Police Vow Tough Action

Detective Inspector Andrew Hall said: “This was a very serious offence that left a man in hospital. Nottinghamshire Police will always look to take the strongest possible action against anyone found to have used or be in illegal possession of a firearm. We have now charged five suspects as part of our investigation into this dangerous assault and our inquiries remain ongoing.”
