Police were scrambled to Lots Road, SW10, on Friday 14 January after a man was viciously stabbed during a brazen robbery.
Man Slashed and Stabbed in Desperate Watch Robbery
The 34-year-old victim had just parked his car and was heading to the boot when he was blindsided from behind. The attacker demanded his watch and lunged to snatch it off his wrist.
A furious struggle erupted. The victim was slashed across the hand and stabbed deep in his right thigh. In a desperate move, he flung his watch beneath a nearby parked car. The thief made a swift getaway, speeding off on a waiting moped.
Air Ambulance Called as Victim Rushed to Hospital
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, treated the man at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Medics confirmed the injuries were serious but could have been far worse.
Police Hunt Armed Thief – Two Photos Released
Detective Constable Christopher Bateman of the Central West robbery squad warned: “There’s no place on our streets for violent criminals willing to use weapons to get what they want.”
He added: “The suspect wore a distinctive top. If you recognise it or know who this is, we want to hear from you.”
