Teen Shot Dead in Early Morning Tragedy – Seven Men Charged
New Suspect Charged in Tyler’s Murder
Kalam Bagge, 18, from Nimrod Road, London, SW1, was charged on Sunday, 23 April. He is due to appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 24 April.
Six Others Already Held Over Murder
Six men have previously been charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Tyler. They are:
- Tyrese Barnett, 19, no fixed address – also charged with attempted murder and firearm possession with intent to endanger life
- Leo Reid, 19, of Tulse Hill, SW2 – charged with possession of an offensive weapon
- Tyrese Matthews, 20, Black Prince Road, SE11
- Damaris McBeth, 19, The Glade
- Rhys Antwi, 19, Prentis Rd, SW16
- Alfred Coker, 20, Bowen Drive, SE21
All six remain remanded in custody. Their next hearing at the Old Bailey is set for 1 and 5 July.
Fatal Shooting Shocks North London
Police were called to Norman Road, N15, at around 4.20am on Thursday, 13 April. Officers and ambulance crews found Tyler suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was rushed to hospital but tragically died the following afternoon, Friday 14 April. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head.
