Man Dies After Brutal Alleyway Assault in Wood Green
Ibrahim, 52, from Wood Green, died in hospital on Tuesday, 1 August 2023. He suffered a serious head injury following a suspected assault around 1:10am on Sunday, 16 July.
Police Seek Witnesses Seen Near Attack Spot
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, leading the murder probe, urged the public for help. He said:
“We have been trying to identify these men for some time and now need the public’s assistance. They were spotted in or near the alley where Ibrahim was assaulted after the incident.”
He stressed there is no evidence these men were involved in the attack, but police want to interview them as potential witnesses.
Attack Took Place in Alley Beside Wood Green Library
CCTV footage confirms Ibrahim was attacked in the alleyway next to Wood Green Library, linking Wood Green High Road to Caxton Road. Emergency services arrived at 2:50am and found Ibrahim gravely injured. He was rushed to hospital but sadly later died from his wounds.
One Man Charged, Public Urged to Help Crack Case
A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with Ibrahim’s death but is not among the men pictured. Police continue their hunt for witnesses to piece together what happened.
