Two suspects – a man and a woman – were arrested today over the tragic death of 16-year-old Tyler. They remain in custody, but police are tight-lipped for operational reasons.
Teen Stabbed on Bus in Broad Daylight
Police rushed to a Route 173 bus on High Road, Chadwell Heath at 3:55pm on Monday, 14 March after reports of a stabbing. Tyler was rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service but sadly died from his injuries.
Investigation Underway, Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers said: “This horrific crime has shaken the community, especially Tyler’s friends and teachers. We’ve spoken to several people but know many more have yet to come forward. It happened in broad daylight on a bus – there will be witnesses.”
He added: “If you have any information, no matter how small, we need to hear from you. We understand it’s daunting, especially for young people, but there are measures to protect anyone who comes forward.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Paul Trevers, leading policing for Barking and Dagenham, said: “Officers are patrolling the area after this awful attack. We’re determined to bring justice to Tyler’s family.”
