Man, 32, Charged with Raping 15-Year-Old Near McDonald's in SE15
Charged and Remanded
Abioina Dele Lawal, 32, with no fixed address, was charged with rape on Wednesday, 2 February. He was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 3 February.
Attack Reported Near Elm Grove
Police were called shortly after 6:28pm on Sunday, 30 January, following the reported rape of a 15-year-old girl near Elm Grove, SE15.
The teenager was walking past the McDonald’s on 1 Lane when a man approached her. He led her along Elm Grove to a secluded spot between Elm Grove and Bellenden Road, where the attack reportedly took place.
