North Tyneside Drug Dealer Busted with Massive Stash of Pills and Cash
Huge Drug Haul Uncovered in October Police Raid
In a smashing police operation last October, Northumbria cops swooped on 35-year-old Scott Ridley’s North Shields home, uncovering a massive stash of illegal substances. Though Ridley was out dodging the raid, officers found over 1,000 MDMA pills stashed away in boxes, alongside heroin, cocaine, cannabis, and a whopping £9,000 in cash.
Dealer Ridley Locked Up for Over 4 Years
Ridley didn’t stay free for long. He was caught, pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a cocktail of drugs, including heroin, MDMA, cannabis, and cocaine. On February 27, Newcastle Crown Court handed him a hefty 49-month prison sentence.
Police Slam Ridley and Warn Other Dealers
“This is an excellent result for us and it shows the power of proactive policing like Operation Impact in smashing drug supply networks,” said Detective Inspector Jonathan May.
“Based on solid intelligence, we executed a targeted strike, unearthing a sizeable haul of drugs and cash.”
“Drugs have absolutely no place in our communities. We will keep hunting dealers and locking them up.”
“Ridley was already jailed for 112 months last year for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, but he clearly hasn’t learned his lesson.”
“We’re glad the courts have handed down another tough sentence to keep him behind bars.”
“Big thanks to the public for their ongoing support. Spot something dodgy? Let us know so we can act fast.”
