EastEnders Shocks Fans with Mystery Star Return for 40th Anniversary

EastEnders is gearing up for its 40th anniversary, and fans are buzzing! Producers have confirmed multiple characters will be making surprise comebacks to celebrate the milestone. But one return has left even the cast gobsmacked.

Dean Wicks Actor Teases Unexpected Comeback

Matt Di Angelo, who plays Dean Wicks, spilled the beans on a mystery star coming back to Walford. “I know quite a lot and I can’t tell you who exactly – but when I found out, I was very surprised they would come back,” Di Angelo revealed in a recent interview.

Di Angelo himself has just returned to the show after nearly seven years off-screen. “It feels great to be back. I started at EastEnders almost 18 years ago, which feels like a lifetime ago now,” he said.

Reunions and Rivalries Ahead

The actor is excited to reconnect with long-time pals, including Natalie Cassidy and Lacey Turner. “I was thrilled to be asked for the third time. It’s great catching up with old friends I’ve known since I was 18,” said Di Angelo.

He’s also working closely with Adam Woodyatt, the legendary Ian Beale. “Adam’s a really great guy and it’s fantastic working alongside him again,” Matt added.

Secrets and Drama Brewing in Albert Square

While Di Angelo won’t reveal the identity of the jaw-dropping returning character, he did hint at juicy plot twists ahead. “Dean will cross paths with Linda a lot and her new family, the Knights, who are awesome to work with,” he teased.

Fans can also brace themselves for a major trial storyline. “There is a trial. We’ve filmed it already. I know how it ends, but I won’t spoil it – that would ruin the telly!” he joked.

EastEnders’ 40th Anniversary Set to Thrill

Speculation is running wild as showrunners promise several surprise returns to Albert Square. One thing’s for sure – EastEnders’ 40th birthday bash will be packed with drama, nostalgia, and plenty of twists to keep viewers hooked.
