A 19-year-old from Ebbw Vale has been locked up for over two years after his own Snapchat bragging gave him away. Tristan Wilson’s distinctive scorpion tattoo, stacks of cash, and piles of cocaine caught the keen eyes of police, sealing his fate.

Tristan Wilson Sentenced to 28 Months

Wilson pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and obstructing a police drug search. Cardiff Crown Court handed him a 28-month prison sentence on Thursday, 22 January. He also admitted involvement in a violent affray on Market Street, Ebbw Vale, last May.

Police Nab Dealer Thanks to Digital Footprints

  • Gwent Police’s Community Action Team raided Wilson’s home last October.
  • His mobile phone revealed drug evidence linked directly to his Snapchat posts.

Officers said Wilson’s tattoo and social media activity helped connect the dots in their investigation, cracking down on local drug crime.
