Fatal Brighton Crash: Police Hunt Witnesses After Motorcyclist Killed

Tragic Collision on Ditchling Road

Police are urgently appealing for witnesses following a deadly crash on Ditchling Road, Brighton. Officers rushed to the scene at 11:15am last Friday, July 19, after reports of a motorcyclist seriously injured in the road.

Tragically, the victim – a 58-year-old man from East Grinstead – was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support from police officers.

Two Arrested in Deadly Crash Probe

The investigation is ongoing as police seek anyone who saw a white Yamaha motorcycle or a silver Suzuki Jimny in the area around the time of the crash. A 68-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman from Steyning have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene.

Both suspects have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
