Dog Killed in Hit-and-Run on Hove Lawns
A beloved Dachshund was tragically killed after being hit by a blue BMW 1 Series on Hove Lawns just after midday on Friday, July 26.
BMW Seized – Driver Still on the Run
The injured dog was rushed to a vet but sadly didn’t make it. Police found and seized the unregistered, uninsured BMW near The Lawns Café, where the crash happened. The driver remains unidentified, and the vehicle’s owner is yet to be traced.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
“We know this has caused huge distress to the dog’s owners and the public,” said Inspector Alexandra Bailey of the Brighton Neighbourhood Response Team. “We’re appealing to anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.”
