Five crooks have pleaded guilty to running a massive drugs ring, pushing cocaine, heroin, and cannabis across West Yorkshire.
Major Bust Uncovers Million-Pound Drug Operation
The gang was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, and cannabis between March and December 2020. They also conspired to supply cocaine from December 2020 to May 2021.
High-Tech Hides and Multiple Arrests
- Police arrested the five in three waves: December 2020, May 2021, and June 2021.
- The organised crime group (OCG) used clever tricks, including hydraulic-operated secret compartments in vehicles, to smuggle drugs and cash nationwide.
Evidence Overwhelming: 100 Kilos of Drugs Seized
Messages uncovered by police revealed the gang dealt with roughly 100 kilos of cocaine, heroin, and cannabis worth millions.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Key of West Yorkshire Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit said:
“The investigation team’s brilliant work cracking encrypted communications smashed the ring and took dangerous drugs off our streets. This gang dealt huge amounts for a long time, damaging lives and communities.
“These convictions will serve as a warning to others thinking about trafficking drugs across West Yorkshire and beyond.
“We’ll keep dismantling organised crime groups and putting offenders behind bars to protect our communities.”
