Late-Night Mayhem Shakes Bamber Bridge
Lancashire Police responded to emergency calls at 10:19 PM reporting a vicious assault. A woman in her 50s suffered facial injuries, while a younger woman in her 20s was stabbed in the elbow. The scene was chaos as officers raced to the spot.
Four suspects were arrested immediately at the scene. A fifth was caught two days later in Chorley on Tuesday, September 30. All five now face serious charges linked to stabbing and violent disorder.
Meet The Charged Suspects
- Alex Barnes, 22, from Station Road, Bamber Bridge – charged with wounding with intent, threatening with a blade in public, and violent disorder. Remanded for Magistrates’ Court on September 30.
- Stuart Kay, 44, of Woodcock Close, Bamber Bridge – charged with violent disorder and attempted burglary with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Also remanded for September 30 court date.
- Leon Brown, 22, from Fell View, Chorley – charged with violent disorder; appeared in court on October 1.
- Two Teens, 16 and 17 – both charged with violent disorder, bailed pending October 14 appearance at Preston Youth Court.
