Armed Robbery Spree Shakes Camden and York Way Shops
Police were scrambled at 5.40am on October 1 after two men struck Tesco on Camden Road, NW1, armed with a handgun. One thug threatened staff with the weapon while his mate grabbed several items.
Same Crooks Hit Second Shop Just 40 Minutes Later
The brazen duo didn’t stop there. Less than an hour later, they targeted Nisa Local on York Way, N1, pulling off a near-identical raid.
Repeat Visit with Deadly Weapons and New Accomplice
Early on October 4 at around 3.20am, the pair returned to the Nisa store — this time with a third man in tow. The gang waved a handgun, knife, and hammer at customers before stealing more goods.
Two Men in Custody, Third Still on the Run
Two suspects have been arrested, charged, and are now behind bars after a court hearing. Police hunt the third man, urging anyone with info to come forward.
Detective Constable Will Wigzell of the Central Specialist Crime Flying Squad said: “This was a very frightening experience for the victims, who thankfully weren’t hurt. We’ve made good progress but still need help identifying the third suspect. Someone out there must know who he is.”
