22-Year-Old Busted in Major Folkestone Drug Raid

A 22-year-old man has been hit with serious drug charges after a police swoop in Folkestone. Officers from Kent’s Folkestone Community Policing Team executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a home in Cricketers Close on Thursday, 2 April 2020.

MDMA, Cannabis, and Thousands in Cash Seized

During the raid, cops seized stash of MDMA, cannabis, numerous mobile phones, and around £9,000 in cash. A 33-year-old local man was also arrested but was only given a warning for cannabis possession.

Thomas Steadman Charged with Multiple Drug Offences

Thomas Steadman, with no fixed address, was charged the next day, Friday 3 April. He faces charges including possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, and possessing criminal property. Steadman is set to appear at a virtual court hearing on the same day.

Police Urge Community to Stay Vigilant

Acting Inspector Maxine Harris said: “We ask that residents continue acting as our eyes and ears in their own communities, and report any suspected illegal activity to police. Drug dealing is not welcome in Folkestone and Hythe, and officers will take robust action against those breaking the law.”
