Teen Charged With Murder After Tottenham Stabbing Tragedy
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Tottenham. He was arrested on Saturday, June 18, and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 20.
Fatal Stabbing in Orchard Place
Police were called to Orchard Place shortly after midnight on Saturday, June 18, after reports of a male stabbed. Emergency services rushed to the scene but could not save the victim.
The 17-year-old died from his injuries. While formal ID is pending, police have confirmed the victim as Ali Baygoren from Tottenham. His family has been informed.
Two Others Bailed as Investigation Continues
Two other teens, aged 17 and 16, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder but have since been bailed pending further inquiries.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives are leading the investigation. A post-mortem exam is expected soon.
