Sussex Police wasted no time. They arrested 35-year-old Darren Smith from Mercury Close, Rochester. He faced a preliminary hearing just two days later, on June 13, at Brighton Magistrates’ Court.

Smith was released on conditional bail ahead of his December 13 trial at Hastings Magistrates’ Court.
