Man Found Guilty of Murdering Elderly Relative in Southgate
Deekan Paul Singh Vig, 54, from Chelmsford Road, Southgate, was convicted of murder on Friday, 27 January.
Tragic Death of 86-Year-Old Arjan Singh Vig
Arjan Singh Vig, 86, also lived on Chelmsford Road. Police rushed to the home at 9.41pm on Saturday, 30 October 2021, after reports of a disturbance.
Despite emergency services’ efforts, Arjan was declared dead at the scene. A post-mortem revealed blunt force trauma to the head as the cause of death.
Sentencing Set for February
Deekan Paul Singh Vig faces sentencing at the Old Bailey on 10 February. The case has shocked the local community in Southgate.
