Burglar Bungle in Gravesend: Man Nabbed After String of Raids
Late on Saturday night, March 12, police swooped after reports of a man caught breaking into homes in the Jellicoe Avenue and Whitehill Road areas of Gravesend.
Craig Graham Caught Red-Handed
Craig Graham was arrested on suspicion and hauled into custody following a thorough search of the neighbourhood. The 35-year-old from Poplar Avenue, Gravesend, now faces serious charges.
Charged with Dozens of Offences
After talks with the Crown Prosecution Service, Graham was charged with six immediate offences — including four burglaries, an attempted break-in, and vehicle interference.
But that’s not all. Police have slapped 41 more charges on him for crimes committed between February 12 and March 1, mainly around the Riverview estate. These include:
- Four counts of burglary
- Twenty-one counts of attempted burglary
- Fourteen counts of vehicle interference
- Two counts of theft from motor vehicles
Stolen loot includes a designer handbag, luxury purse, sunglasses, cash, and car keys taken from two separate homes.
Held on Remand Ahead of Crown Court Appearance
Graham was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 14. At the hearing, he was further remanded to face Woolwich Crown Court on April 11.
