Crime Spree Hits Cranbrook, Rye, and Tunbridge Wells

From early June, thieves targeted rural areas in Cranbrook, Rye, and Tunbridge Wells, stealing and damaging vital cables. The raids disrupted local communities and sparked a major police probe.

Police Crack Down: Four Arrested

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate swooped on Wednesday 7 December, executing multiple search warrants. They arrested three men: a 26-year-old from Margate, and two men aged 42 and 29 from Ashford. All three were released on bail until 7 February 2023 as investigations continue.

Man Charged: Court Date Set

In a separate move, 23-year-old Tony Chantler from Folkestone was arrested in Neath, Wales. He now faces charges of conspiracy to steal and is due to appear before Medway magistrates on 8 December.
