Four Teens Nabbed After Raucous Maryland Street Brawl in Newham
Chaos Erupts on Maryland Street
Police snapped into action after a massive disturbance broke out on Maryland Street, Newham, last Thursday evening. At around 6:20pm on 31 July, officers were called following reports of a public disorder involving a large crowd.
Four Boys Arrested for Affray
Four teenage boys, aged 16, 16, 17, and 18, were promptly arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray. They were taken into custody before being released on bail as investigations continue.
“Officers responded swiftly to reports of a disturbance involving a large group of people on Maryland Street. Four boys were arrested on suspicion of affray and enquiries are ongoing,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
Police Step Up Patrols
No injuries have been reported so far, but police presence in the area has been ramped up to reassure residents and prevent further trouble.
