Greenwich Fire Death: New Arrest Made in Murder Investigation
Detectives probing the death of a woman after a fire in Greenwich have arrested another suspect. A 21-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 21 March, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. He has since been bailed to return in late April as the investigation continues.
Multiple Arrests in Ongoing Murder Probe
The inquiry has already seen nine others arrested. Among them, a 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been bailed pending further questions. Earlier, on 26 November, a 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder but later released while investigations are ongoing.
Victim Dies in Greenwich Blaze
The probe began after emergency services responded to reports of a fire in a home on Centurion Square, Greenwich, in the early hours of Thursday 6 September. Tragically, 46-year-old Memunatu Warne died at the scene.
Homicide and Major Crime Command detectives are handling the case, working to piece together what happened.
