Replica Guns Stolen in Bold Daytime Raid on Ventnor Shop
Police are hunting two suspects after three replica guns were ripped off in a smash-and-grab at Sorties, a shop on Pier Street, Ventnor. The front window was smashed at around 1am on Wednesday, December 21, and the fake firearms were snatched straight from the display.
Two Men Spotted Fleeing Scene
Witnesses describe the suspects as two men, one in a blue hoodie and dark trousers, the other in a grey hoodie and light trousers. Cops urge anyone recognising these men to come forward.
Replica Guns Up for Grabs

These guns produce loud bangs and smoke, but no bullets, making them popular among collectors and cosplay fans alike.
Police Make Arrest, But Investigation Continues
A 23-year-old local man has been arrested and bailed until March 20, 2017, as the hunt for the other two men continues.
Detective Constable Parker from Newport CID said: “This is a rare occurrence and it appears the shop was targeted specifically for these items on display. We want to speak to anyone who has been offered these guns for sale or who has any info about the burglary.”
