Southampton Dealer Caught with £4K of Class A and B Drugs
Jami Singh was arrested on 25 February 2020 after a targeted stop and search by Southampton’s High Harm team in Proctor Close. Officers found Class A and B drugs stuffed in his trouser pockets. The bust didn’t stop there — a subsequent raid on a Tatwin Crescent address uncovered more drugs and evidence of supply.
Heroin, Crack and Cannabis Seized
The haul included heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis, with a street value totalling £3,990. Singh pleaded guilty on 26 March 2021 to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, plus possession of Class B cannabis.
Jailed to Keep Drugs Off Southampton Streets
On Tuesday, Singh appeared at Southampton Crown Court and was locked up for 28 months. Police vowed to keep the pressure on drug dealers and protect local communities.
“We are committed to doing everything we can to tackle drugs and associated crime. This case shows we won’t hesitate to shut down dealers.”
Police Urge Public to Report Drug Crime
Officers urged locals to report any suspicious drug activity via the online portal or by calling 101. Every tip-off helps build intelligence and brings more offenders like Singh to justice.
