Knife Crime Arrest Near Tunbridge Wells
A man has been arrested near Tunbridge Wells for carrying multiple weapons found in his car. Jason Jeferys, 49, from Rusthall, was caught with a stash including a hand axe and several knives during a police stop.
Shocking Weapon Haul Discovered by Police
On 25 April 2020, officers patrolling Cranwell Road, Rusthall, flagged down a suspicious vehicle. A search uncovered a hand axe, knives hidden in the glove compartment and centre console, and a knife attached to the driver’s keyring.
Charges and Court Dates for Jeferys
Jeferys was arrested and charged with four counts of possessing a knife or bladed article in a public place. He also faces charges for driving without insurance. He appeared before a virtual court on 10 November and was granted bail. Jeferys is set to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 11 January 2021.
