Shocking bodycam footage reveals the moment a jealous boyfriend was dragged off a Manchester Airport flight after a violent meltdown. Callum Coady, 27, flew into a rage mid-air, splashing prosecco in his partner’s face and hurling death threats. This explosive incident was just the climax of more than a year of terrifying abuse that left the victim too scared to trust anyone.

Prosecco Splash Sparks Mid-Flight Drama

On August 19, 2023, flight staff at Manchester Airport acted fast to stop Coady after spotting his outburst onboard. CCTV showed him snapping after seeing a message on Daisy Martin’s Facebook. Furious, he shouted at her before dousing her face with prosecco and making chilling death threats in front of stunned passengers and crew.

The footage captures police handcuffing Coady and hauling him off the plane. He protested, “Do I look like I’d kill someone?” and griped about “missing my flight.” But officers weren’t buying it.

35,000 Messages Expose Year of Abuse

The shocking incident was just the tip of the iceberg. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court, prosecutors revealed a harrowing tale of control and manipulation. Officers uncovered over 35,000 messages on Coady’s phone, exposing a relentless campaign of dread:

  • Forced Daisy Martin to delete her social media accounts
  • Cut her off from friends and family
  • Kept constant control over every aspect of her life

Sentenced but Not Behind Bars—Yet

Coady pleaded guilty to coercive and controlling behaviour. He was handed a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. On top of that, he faces a five-year restraining order, probation supervision, and must pay £200 compensation.

“He made me forget what love should feel like,” Daisy Martin said in a powerful victim impact statement. “I constantly look over my shoulder and feel anxious in public. My sense of safety is gone.”

Detective Constable Elizabeth Andrews hailed Ms Martin’s courage. She said, “The recovered messages offer a clear and disturbing insight into the level of control, manipulation and abuse she endured.”
