Two Brothers Accused of Brutal Drugs Runner Murder in Hampshire

In a chilling Portsmouth Crown Court case, half-brothers Aiden and Tommy West stand accused of murdering Levi Kent, 22, a drugs runner from Bridgemary, Hampshire. The deadly attack allegedly happened after Levi refused to extend credit for cocaine.

Stabbing and Crash on Nobes Avenue

On the early morning of 24 November, Levi Kent was viciously stabbed in his car behind shops on Nobes Avenue, prosecutors revealed. Tommy West, 18, reportedly stabbed Levi while he was still behind the wheel, causing his car to smash into nearby garages. Levi fled the vehicle, leaving the engine revving with the pedal stuck to the floor.

Fatal Attack on Keyes Road

A witness told court how the West brothers chased Levi to Keyes Road, where the fatal assault unfolded. Aiden West, 24, repeatedly kicked Levi in the head and side, while Tommy stabbed him multiple times.

“The brothers were laughing as Aiden searched Levi’s pockets,” prosecutor Nicholas Haggan KC said.

Levi was rushed to hospital but died from a stab wound to the heart.

Charges and Complicity

  • Aiden West denies murder and public possession of a blade.
  • Tommy West has admitted to murder, robbery, and knife possession.
  • Peter West, 42, and Michael Figgins, 64, are charged with assisting the brothers.
  • Several others, including the brothers’ mother Joanne West and Liam Savage, 37, have pleaded guilty to helping offenders.
  • Sarah Flynn, 36, admitted disposing of bloodstained clothing.

Peter West and Michael Figgins claim they were driving the brothers to the police but instead drove around Gosport for hours before Tommy surrendered late afternoon on 24 November.

Trial Continues Amid Tributes

The trial is ongoing for those denying charges. Floral tributes now lie where Levi Kent was fatally stabbed, a stark reminder of a tragic night that shook the Hampshire community.
