Family of Lee Butler Speaks Out After Killer Sentenced
The family of Lee Butler have broken their silence following Lewis Brown’s 10-and-a-half-year sentence for manslaughter at Oxford Crown Court on May 3.
“Lewis Brown Has Torn Our Family Apart”
In a powerful statement, Lee’s family said: “Lewis Brown has ripped our family apart. Our lives will never be the same again. We have had to watch our whole family suffer because of his actions.”
They added, “We simply cannot understand how someone could take Lee’s life away in the flash of a knife.”
Heartbreak Over Manslaughter Verdict
While disappointed with the manslaughter verdict, the family admitted no sentence could bring Lee back. “Lee was a beautiful boy whose life was senselessly stolen,” they said.
“It was a futile waste of a life. But we hold onto hope that one day, we shall meet again and share the feelings that have always been there.”
