Beloved Mum-of-Three Found Stabbed to Death in Cranham Road
Agnė Druskiene, 40, a cherished mum of three and of Lithuanian descent, was found dead with fatal stab wounds just after 1am on Saturday, October 18 in Cranham Road. Emergency crews battled to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Husband Arrested and Charged with Murder
Her 43-year-old husband, Augustinas Druskis, living on the same street, was arrested and charged with her murder. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 20 but did not enter a plea. Druskis was remanded in custody and is set to face the Old Bailey on October 22 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Lithuanian Community in UK Shocked and Rallying Support
The brutal killing has rocked the UK Lithuanian community. Thousands have expressed grief and rallied around Agnė’s family with an outpouring of support.
“Her loss has been felt far beyond those who personally knew her,” said Alvija Černiauskaitė, chair of Lithuanian Community UK. “It’s as if we’ve lost one of our own. The unity and support show just how strong our community is in times of unimaginable pain.”
Ms Černiauskaitė launched a fundraiser to help Agnė’s children. The campaign smashed its £10,000 target in hours, soaring to £34,256 from over 1,000 donors within days.
Remembering Agnė: Devoted Mother and Kind Neighbour
The GoFundMe page describes Agnė as “a loving, devoted mother” and “a kind-hearted neighbour” whose warmth and smile touched everyone. Her two teenage sons and 19-year-old daughter are now bereft of their “most important person.”
“It’s not just loss. It’s an endless pain, silence, and emptiness that nothing can fill,” the fundraiser states.
This tragic murder has left a community shattered but united — standing shoulder to shoulder to support Agnė’s grieving family.
