Lorry Driver Busted After Horror A20 Smash in Folkestone
A lorry driver has been charged following a serious crash on the A20 in Folkestone. Police are urgently hunting for witnesses to crack the case.
Crash on the Coastbound A20
Kent Police were called at 8.45pm on Tuesday 3 March 2026 to the coastbound side near Roundhill Tunnel. A grey Peugeot 308 was stationary when it was smashed from behind by a white MAN articulated lorry, both heading the same way.
Paramedics rushed to the scene. The car’s driver, a man in his 30s, was hospitalised with multiple injuries but has since been discharged to recover at home. The lorry driver was taken for checks and later arrested. The road reopened at 1.45am the next day.
Lorry Driver Tomasz Antoniewicz Faces Court
On 4 March, 52-year-old Tomasz Antoniewicz from Bognor Regis appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was granted bail with conditions and must return to Canterbury Crown Court on 7 April.
Police Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
