Police in Medway’s Community Policing Team were on patrol in Chatham’s Bournville Avenue when a car suddenly sped off at around 7pm on Friday, 31 March 2023. The rapid getaway raised red flags.
Cash, Cocaine and Baton Found
Officers chased down the vehicle and soon uncovered a stash of cash, a plastic bottle filled with suspected cocaine packets, and a metal baton inside the car.
Gillingham Man Bailed After Arrest
A 30-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested for possession of Class A drugs and carrying an offensive weapon. He has since been released on bail while inquiries continue.
