Man Charged After Fatal M27 Pile-Up

A man has been charged after a deadly crash on the M27 claimed a lorry driver’s life.

Multi-Vehicle Crash at M27 Junction 5

Just after 12.30pm on Wednesday 21 February, emergency services were called to a serious collision at junction five of the M27. The smash involved a Mercedes lorry, a Nissan Juke, and a Volkswagen Polo.

Lorry Driver Dies at Scene

Tragically, 36-year-old lorry driver Michal Kaminski from Salisbury, Wiltshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dangerous Driver Faces Multiple Charges

Ross Alex Neiland, 38, from Littlehampton, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while uninsured, causing death while unfit through drink or drugs, and driving without a licence.

Neiland is now in custody and will appear at Southampton Crown Court on 1 November.

Second Defendant Fined and Disqualified

Kerry Ann Pearce, 40, also from Littlehampton, was charged with failing to provide a specimen. She pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on 7 October and was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £30.
