Man Charged Over Dangerous Flat Fire in Tilbury
A man has been hit with serious charges after a blaze tore through a block of flats in Civic Square, Tilbury, on November 19. The fire, started in a communal hallway, forced residents to flee for their lives.
Wesley Thomas Faces Arson and Assault Charges
Wesley Thomas, 31, from Civic Square, Tilbury, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life. He also faces two counts of assaulting emergency workers who rushed to the scene.
Next Court Date Set
Thomas appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on November 21. He was remanded in custody and is due to face Basildon Crown Court on December 18 for trial.
