Three teens held after 15-year-old stabbed in Surrey Quays
Violent attack shocks local community
Three 16-year-old boys have been arrested following a stabbing in Surrey Quays that left a 15-year-old fighting for his life. Police rushed to Quebec Way at 9:16pm on September 3 after reports of a knife attack.
The young victim was found with serious injuries and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his wounds were not life-threatening.
Suspects in custody and bailed
Between September 11 and 13, officers arrested three teenage boys over the stabbing, all charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. The suspects were held at South London police stations but have since been bailed pending further investigations.
Police plead for witnesses
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at 9:16pm on Tuesday, September 3 to reports of a stabbing in Quebec Way, SE16. Officers, the London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance attended and found a 15-year-old boy suffering knife injuries. Three boys, all aged 16, were arrested and have been bailed pending further enquiries.”
The investigation remains open, with police urging anyone with information or footage to come forward immediately.
