Man charged after brutal Hove attack leaves two seriously hurt

Violent morning in Hove

Police were called to Farm Road, Hove, at 8am on Sunday, January 14, following reports of a violent confrontation that left two people badly injured.

Harrowing scene at Farm Road

Officers found a man in his 40s with puncture wounds. Nearby, a woman in her 30s was discovered with critical injuries, believed to be from falling out of a window.

Suspect arrested and charged

Stewart Kamande, 39, from Farm Road, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody and is due in court on February 13.

Police seek more witnesses

Detective Sergeant Victoria Thornton-Green said: “Following a combined effort from numerous teams across the division, we have now charged and remanded a man about the offences.”

“Thank you to those who have assisted our enquiries so far, and we urge any outstanding witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and make a report.”
