Chatham man charged after daring arcade robbery

Robbery rocks town centre arcade

Kent Police rushed to a Chatham High Street amusement arcade on Sunday afternoon after staff were threatened and cash was stolen. The brazen robbery happened around 4pm on 2 February 2020, shaking the usually quiet town centre.

Suspect quickly arrested and charged

Following a swift investigation, officers arrested 39-year-old Neil Sutton from Shipwrights Avenue. He now faces robbery charges in connection with the incident.

Man remanded ahead of court dates

Sutton was held in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 4 February. He was further remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 3 March.
