Leeds Man Locked Up for 18 Years Over Shocking Sex Attack
Siyabonga Dunga, 39, from Sweet Street, Holbeck, Leeds, has been jailed for 18 years following a brutal sexual assault. The British Transport Police’s Operation Milkwort uncovered his chilling crimes, which include rape, kidnap, and administering a substance with intent.
Deceptive Drugging at Leeds Bar
The horrifying attack unfolded in the early hours of January 21, 2023. Dunga met the victim at the Back Room Bar in Leeds and slipped something into her drink. The woman soon became disoriented and confused. Pretending to help, Dunga took her outside for fresh air. He then separated her from her friend by lying that the victim had left her phone inside – a phone he had actually pocketed.
Victim Dragged to Hotel and Assaulted
Unable to stand, the woman was taken to a nearby hotel. CCTV footage reveals her collapsing as Dunga dragged her to his room, where he committed the horrific rape.
Investigator Brands Dunga ‘Dangerous and Calculating Predator’
Detective Constable Andy Jones, leading the investigation, called Dunga a “dangerous and calculating sexual predator.” The victim, deeply traumatised, showed incredible courage throughout the case, demanding justice and warning others to stay vigilant.
