Paedophile Jason King Jailed for Four and a Half Years for Sick Online Crimes

Shock Sentence at Winchester Crown Court

Jason King, 32, from North Ferriby, North Humberside, was handed a hefty four-and-a-half-year prison sentence at Winchester Crown Court on 14 February. The vile offender admitted to multiple charges, including making and sharing indecent images of children — some of the most graphic Category A material. His crimes ran from November 2023 to May 2024, during which he also broke his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) by engaging in sexual conversations with a child while staying overnight in Chicklade, Wiltshire.

After serving his term, King will be on licence for another two and a half years and slapped with a lifetime SHPO to keep him under strict watch.

Disturbing Online Grooming Uncovered

Detective Constable Anthony Swift of the Child Internet Exploitation Team called the case “one of the most disturbing” his team has ever seen.

“King was convicted of making and distributing indecent images of children. While staying in Chicklade, he engaged in sexual conversations with a child, blatantly breaking his Sexual Harm Prevention Order — a crucial public protection measure.”

“He was also chatting with other sex offenders online, trading some of the most horrific content our experienced investigators have encountered.”

The probe into King’s sick network has already led to more arrests by police forces across the UK.

Wiltshire Police Crack Down to Protect Kids

Wiltshire Police vow to keep a sharp eye on offenders like King, enforcing Sexual Harm Prevention Orders to shield vulnerable children from harm.

Worried about someone’s behaviour towards a child? The Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme — aka Sarah’s Law — allows parents, carers, and guardians to check if someone poses a risk. For more on SHPOs, visit the Crown Prosecution Service website.

This grim case underlines why cracking down hard on online child exploitation is vital — offenders must face tough justice to keep communities safe.
